I have the conversion kit with the circuit boards. Looking forward to fitting it with the LEDs. Just one thing “effectively a diode” - it IS a diode. It’s effectively a ‘one way electrical street’ which allows the lights only to come on in the direction of travel. Electronics background.

I would say it's a repaint and renumber. The boiler bands and lining were printed on not transfers. Also the emblem on the tender looks wrong .one looks to be off set to the center wheels of the tender and the other emblem is slightly squiffy. Cab number looks like the 6 is not quite rightly positioned.but this could be camera angle or ...my old eyes lol.

very informative, thank you. ive just bought a job lot and its got a bank of the levers in it, i remember seeing them as a child on layouts a shows. but now i know what there used for thanks to this video. p.s its a bank of 20 levers/switches

This is wonderful. In the early to mid eighties I commuted Queen Street to Falkirk. Class 47 push pull to Falkirk High or the 3 set class 101 to Grahamston. I remember passing through the Eastfield section back in the day when we'd look out the windows (still do). This captures the whole feel. Memories of times gone by. Thank you. ❤

I have just viewed your video of the ‘O’ gauge layout of Eastfield Depot. I worked at Eastfield from 1980 until it closed in 1992. I have to admire the detail you and your team have built into the layout. The accuracy is astounding, the weathering of the locos is superb. I live in Glasgow, and I am interested in viewing the layout. Can you please advise when it will next be exhibited in Scotland? Great job!

Hi Aidan, I know it's a while since you made this video, but if you ir anyone you know is still in the market for HAAs, Kernow is selling them for under £15 each, which is cheaper than anyone else is selling the sets of 3 (best price is around £50). Cheers.

Pretty sure LMR rolling stock was generally painted in a green, though depends on the time your modelling. Regardless, it looks lovely!

Hi All, I have just bought 2 oxford warwells ( unloaded), then also purchased 2 Oxford diecast Churchill's to go on top..! Question.. Does anyone know how to secure the tank to warwell bed..! There are Detail parts with W.Well. What are they for.? If not securing Tank to flatbed..!? Then What..? Does Anyone know how to do so..!! And yes I am a Britt, wanting Churchills over Shermans. Because my Uncle used to Drive one. Landing on Day in first week of D.Day landing's. He's not around anymore to ask, but I think he would'nt know either..! But I would like to Attach the Tank's, Without Glue or Drilling holes. Any ideas guys.? Because I can NOT find anything on Utube. Please help me Honour my Uncle Den ( & my Ex Royal Marine father too.) By being able to secure the British Tank to a British wagon. I was a fireman at eastfield traction depot my uncle was a mainline driver at the same time 1974 onwards drove every class of locomotive that was at eastfield 37 was my favourite engine fantastic seeing it recreated the old depot fuelling bay was ope in 1974

Did you ever manage to obtain a Wrenn Golden Arrow brake coach? I have both the Hornby and Wrenn versions - strangely the Wrenn coaches are at a visibly smaller scale that the Hornby coaches. The Wrenns don't seem to be 00 but they are larger than my Lima H0 scale Mk1 LMS coach. Unfortunately it means it looks odd mixing the Wrenn and Hornbys together in the same consist. All the more reason for Hornby to release a Golden Arrow brake coach one day!

Can anyone assist me in locating a set of Gauge 1 jubilee coaches? I realize the seven coach set would most likely be very expensive but would compliment my Aster Silver Link which I've owned for several years. Only interested in scale Gauge 1 models. The jubilee coaches I've seen in period photographs are silver in color without truck skirts which I'm assuming is correct - yes, no? If anyone can be of help to me I would greatly welcome their assistance. Thanks

Pick a paint that fits your railroad name or the era in witch you model. Example. My railroad is King Kepner Ranch railroad. The colors are intense metallic blue pearl, stainless steel color, gold lettering and striping. I also model the NdeM and FNM railroad in Mexico. So those are colors I I use as well. My class 35 hymek( Queen Elizabeth) will be painted in a color the queen liked. Just a Example for you. If prototype paint is what you want ...study some pictures and see what you like.
